Farm Stand Retail Sales Associate

Part-Time, Seasonal | $18/hr starting | Chelan Ranch – Lake Chelan, WA

Chelan Ranch is a family-owned organic farm perched above Lake Chelan. We grow premium organic apples, cherries, and blueberries; ship direct to customers through our website; and host guests at our farm stand, u-pick fields, and event space.

We’re looking for a reliable, self-starting associate to manage our farm stand during the 2025 harvest season. This is a solo position ideal for someone who’s tech-savvy, good with people, and comfortable being the face of the farm while working independently.

Location & Culture

You’ll work on-site at the Chelan Ranch farm stand—surrounded by orchards, sweeping views, and summer visitors. You’ll be responsible for keeping things running smoothly and welcoming guests with friendliness and professionalism. We’re a small team that values hard work, trust, and adaptability. This role is part of a bigger effort to grow our local presence and create a memorable on-farm experience.

Schedule & Key Dates

  • Shifts: Thursday–Monday, 8:30 AM–1:30 PM (store hours: 9 AM–1 PM)

    • Expect to arrive 30 minutes early and stay ~30 minutes after closing

  • Weekly hours: Approx. 25 hours/week

  • Start date: Thursday, June 26 or July 3

  • End date: Late October to Early November (flexible)

  • Mandatory event days: Saturday, July 19 and August 2

  • Must be 18 or older

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and assist customers at the farm stand and u-pick station

  • Ring up purchases via Shopify/Square POS

  • Record self-serve and Venmo sales

  • Restock shelves, update pricing, and count inventory daily

  • Set up games, umbrellas, and seating

  • Build and sell lavender sachets and bouquets

  • Clean outdoor fridge, freezer, and retail spaces

  • Post Instagram Stories or updates to promote store hours or new products

  • Think creatively to boost traffic and engage with our community

  • Support general farmstand operations—indoor and outdoor

What We’re Looking For

  • Trustworthy and dependable—able to work independently

  • Friendly and outgoing with solid communication skills

  • Tech-capable: comfortable using phones, apps, and POS systems

  • Clean, organized, and attentive to detail

  • Proactive and willing to learn new tasks as they come

  • Spanish-speaking a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting wage: $18/hr
