Morning: Walk the Car Show
Start your day in downtown Chelan at the Cruizin Chelan Car Show (May 30–31). We’re talking gleaming chrome, vintage curves, and proud owners polishing their bumpers while answering questions like, “Did you rebuild the engine yourself?”
Even if you’re not a car person, there’s something nostalgic about it all. Grab a local coffee, wander up Woodin Ave, and enjoy the show.
Midday: Market Stroll + Freeze-Dried Snacks
If it’s Thursday (May 30), go to the Chelan Evening Farmers Market in Riverwalk Park (2–6 PM). It’s one of our favorites — low-key, local, and packed with early summer color.
We’ll be there too in June! Stop by our Chelan Ranch Organics table to grab:
- Freeze-dried apples, cherries, and blueberries (a road trip favorite)
- Organic Honeycrisp apples
- Dried lavender and fresh lavender bouquets

Markets like this are why we love our town — no big fuss, just good food, friendly faces, and a perfect excuse to buy one more jar of jam than you planned.
Afternoon: Unwind at Chelan Ranch
Once you’ve filled your cars and market fare, come up the hill to Chelan Ranch. We’re just a few minutes outside town but feel a world away.
What to do:
- Hit the self-serve stand for eggs, dried fruit, or snacks before tasting wine.
- Sit a while. The view’s good — Lake Chelan shimmering in the distance, our organic orchards leafing out, and hawks circling high.
- Bring a book, your kids, or your thoughts. It’s that kind of place.
Evening: Wineries, Music & Sunset
When golden hour rolls in, take a short scenic drive from Chelan Ranch to one of our favorite nearby tasting rooms. Each spot offers a slightly different flavor; we’re not just talking wine.
